Ask Jeeves to launch new advertising network

|
Ask Jeeves Ask Jeeves are to launch a new advertising network which will allow advertisers "to more effectively purchase, manage and optimize campaigns on Ask Jeeves (Ask.com) and its advertising syndication network"
The new service is scheduled to launch on August 15th and details will be made available at the new site, which is currently a holding page. Some of the features on offer include: "Multi-campaign management features: -- Advanced spend management options including daily or monthly budget limits -- Bidding system enables greater control over placement within paid listing results -- Real time campaign reporting and account alerts -- Automated click fraud protection -- Bulk-loading support for large keyword lists -- Standard creative format minimizes the need to create new ads specifically for Ask Jeeves" What is interesting is the inclusion of both click fraud protection and the use of standard ad formats. This would suggest that Ask Jeeves are learning from Google's mistakes. Whether or not they will be able to grab a significant enough portion of the market to "upset" Google is another matter.
