Chapter 2289: First Challenge of a Noblesse I
The Noblesse Inner Demon of Adrian is indeed different from the others that a normal Daemos would have. Normal Inner demons are what people will describe as demonic because of their brash and destructive nature. It is also an alter ego of the Daemos if they lose control of their own power. It is what takes over a Daemos temporarily when they fail to defeat their inner demons to attain a higher Persona.
An inner demon that is intelligent is really out of the norm just like what Adrian has. It is not normal because intelligent inner demons that have full control over instincts can wreak havoc and untold destruction. Unlike a normal inner demon that would usually just rampage and destroy the area around them, an intelligent inner demon meant they could even manipulate the real ego into doing things without being noticed.
"You are talking about the Asmodian blood flowing in the veins of the young mediator." Guru Polliwog stated as he already knew that Adrian is different from a normal descendant of the Asmodians.@@@@
"It seems that this old man has already felt the power within our veins. He is not as ordinary as he seems despite the fact that he was a bit strange during our first encounter with him." The Noblesse Inner Demon stated as he cheekily poked Adrian's shoulder.
"I already know that he is not normal the moment he is able to enter our soul depths. I might even say he is one of the most courageous beings we encountered as well. Even the Gods of Death do not dare invade here because of you or that other thing sleeping deeper." Adrian stated as he could feel there was another him sleeping or observing from afar.
"You actually agree that your inner demon is correct! You are indeed a very strange kid to even agree with your inner demon." Guru Polliwog stated as he has met a lot of Daemos back when he was younger that told him about their struggles with their inner demons.
"How can I fix myself then?" Adrian asked as the Noblesse Inner Demon basically told him that he is broken to some extent as he is lacking.
"You have already passed all the preliminary tests. I think it is time for you to finally challenge me. Even if you needed the help of another being to reach the depths of your soul, you have managed to open the path and will be able to come here by yourself from now own. Are you ready for my challenges, Equinox?" The Noblesse Inner Demon stated.

"Will it be a series of tests? Unlike the others that only needed some things to be accomplished and a battle, it seems that this will be a long journey." Adrian stated.
"Of course, a Noblesse is different from an Arch Demon after all. All demons will bow before you and with the purity of our Asmodian blood... becoming Demon King might not be impossible. Let me ask you again, do you wish to start my challenge?" The Noblesse Inner Demon stated.
"I detect no deceit nor lies from him, young mediator." Guru Polliwog commented as he stuck to observing.
"I accept. I have been growing tired of not being able to challenge the gods that torment this world by myself." Adrian stated which made his inner demon smile.
