Chapter 19 Summoning Invasion
Chapter 19 Summoning Invasion
"Ten fighting chickens? Is that even possible?"
Lei Chi wasn't in a hurry to go to the [Chicken Farm] to see the fighting chickens that could be used as mounts. He collected the gold coins from the compensation chest and then opened the [Tier 1 Beast Tower Three-Choice Construction Blueprint].

You can choose one of the following three Tier 1 Beast Towers to build:
1. Leopard, melee, physical attack, attack speed 1.2, attack power 5.
2. Jackal, melee, physical attack, attack speed 1.0, attack power 5, 5% chance of double critical hit.
3. Bubble Turtle (Rare), Ranged, Magic Attack, Attack Speed 0.5, Range 30 meters, Attack Power 3, Special Skill [Rapid Launch].

"Another Bubble Turtle has appeared! Does this mean that every three-choice blueprint will include a rare tower?"
Lei Chi was overjoyed and decisively chose to build the [Bubble Turtle].
Actually, the [Leopard] and [Jackal] are not bad either, with high attack power, and theoretically their output is even higher than that of the [Little Tiger].
Lei Chi suspected they might be adults, but he didn't know their growth patterns. Compared to them, Lei Chi felt that the younger beasts like the "Little Tiger," "Little Sea Turtle," and "Little Green Snake" would be easier to grow.
Lei Chi placed the Bubble Turtle at the "100-meter" mark in the War Corridor, symmetrical to the other one.
"With the current turret configuration, it's still impossible to break through the fifth wave of jungle monsters, but there's some hope of breaking through the invasion of the Wasteland Spiders."
Lei Chi possesses a [Summoning Scroll of Wasteland Spiders], which, when used, can summon ten thousand Wasteland Spiders to invade his own camp.
He was debating whether or not to use it.
According to the description in the summoning scroll, there are a total of 10,000 Wasteland Spiders, with 10 spawning every second. They only have 3 health points, meaning they die instantly upon being attacked.
So, theoretically, the two Bubble Turtles with an attack speed of 0.5 can kill 6 in two seconds, averaging 3 kills per second. The two Porcupines can kill 2 per second, and the little green snake in front has an attack speed of 0.5, killing one per two seconds. With these five defensive towers, theoretically, you can definitely kill 5.5 Wasteland Spiders within one second.
If there are any desert spiders sneaking along the edge, the little tigers can also unleash their power.
Although it's possible that some wasteland spiders might eventually crawl out of the War Corridor, Lei Chi won't be all alone anymore; he'll have orc peons and ten fighting chickens.
Orc Peon Harley, LV1, has 2 attack power, 200 health, and 0.5 attack speed. He can kill a Wasteland Spider in two attacks.
The Fighting Chicken has an attack power of 1 point and health of 100 points. It can kill a Wasteland Spider in three attacks. There are currently ten of them in the chicken farm. They are all brought to the camp square to fight. They are quite strong in the face of the Wasteland Spider.
When monsters invade, players and troop units cannot enter the War Corridor, and defensive towers cannot attack targets outside the War Corridor.
Lei Chi estimated that even if some Wasteland Spiders could break through the War Corridor, at most four would run over in a second. With only 3 health points, how much attack power could they have? Even if they had a little, Lei Chi estimated that he, along with his Orc Peons and 10 Fighting Chickens, couldn't defeat them.
"Let's do it!"
Lei Chi made his decision and then quickly ran to the chicken farm.
In the chicken farm, ten fighting chickens are leisurely strolling around.
They are enlarged roosters, as big as ostriches, with bright red combs and feathers mainly in red, white, and black. They stand tall and proud, looking very aloof. Occasionally, they will flap their wings or perform a one-legged pose and crow "Gao Gao Lou".
The five laying hens that Lei Chi had previously purchased had been killed by Qi Xingge, but they died a worthy death. These ten fighting chickens are worth 20 times more!
"Not bad. I wonder if they'll get bigger after they level up. As they are now, they're not bad as mounts!"
Lei Chi immediately made a fighting rooster stop, and then he climbed on top of it.
The "Fighting Chicken" looked aloof, but it was very obedient. Lei Chi rode on its back and felt quite good.
"Giddy up, giddy up, giddy up!"
Lei Chi shouted a few times, and the fighting chicken seemed to understand his intention. It walked out of the chicken farm and headed straight for the war corridor. At first, it walked at a leisurely pace, but then it began to accelerate. It took only about 3 seconds to increase its speed to 10 meters per second.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..."
Lei Chi shouted a few times, and the fighting chicken indeed slowed down.
"Great, great! This is much better than a bicycle. You have to pedal, hold the handlebars, and brake. Riding this fighting chicken is stable, comfortable, and effortless. It even frees up both hands to hold your weapons!"
Lei Chi had no experience riding mounts, but his first experience riding a fighting chicken was very pleasant.
A moment later, he brought all ten fighting chickens to the camp square, forming a proper fighting chicken squad.
Lei Chi waited for another two hours, until the orc laborer Harley revived, then ran to the gold mine to call out to him, "Labier, come out and fight! Bring out your weapons!"
The orc peons have at least 200 health points, so they can at least act as meat shields.
The orc laborer Harley dawdled for quite a while before finally carrying out his pickaxe.
The minimum loyalty of a slave is 0; otherwise, the loyalty of these orc laborers would probably have been reduced to a negative number long ago.
Upon seeing Lei Chi, he suddenly said, "Master, I'm just a useless orc laborer, I can't help you with anything, you might as well sell me!"
"ah!"
Lei Chi was taken aback, wondering if the orc laborer's intelligence had been upgraded or what was going on? It had actually said such a long string of words.
"You good-for-nothing, how can you say you're useless? You're clearly very useful, aren't you? How could I bear to sell you off? You're my most loyal subordinate. Keep up the good work, and when I'm successful, I'll make sure you live a life of luxury."
The orc laborer scratched his head, looking bitter. Even with his intelligence, he knew that his master was just talking nonsense.
"This master must dislike me! He's going to keep torturing me. I'm an orc laborer, I'm supposed to mine gold, I don't want to be a militiaman..."
He muttered to himself.
Lei Chi didn't notice his little action. Now that he saw him in place, he no longer hesitated and took out the [Summoning Scroll of the Wasteland Spider] to use it.
"Ding! You have used the Wasteland Spider's summoning scroll. In three minutes, the Wasteland Spider will attack your secret camp!"
"Ding! This monster invasion is a summoned invasion. The Wasteland Spiders have 3 HP, 0 Armor, and 0 Magic Resistance. They move one meter per second, and there are a total of 10,000 of them. Please prepare your defenses..."
Shortly after the system notification sounded, the light mist swirled within the [Time-Space Wormhole], and soon after, the Wasteland Spider appeared.
This spider is about the size of a pug, grayish-brown all over, with a round, fleshy abdomen.
To Lei Chi's surprise, they did not rush out of the spacetime wormhole all at once, but appeared in an orderly line.
The War Corridor is ten meters wide, and they are arranged in ten columns, one meter apart from each other, with ten in a row. They move forward in a row every second, keeping a neat formation.
This time, the little tigers crouching on either side of the wormhole were no longer just for show. The little tiger at the front meowed loudly and waved its little paws with abandon.
"-5!"
"-5!"
"-5!"
[Little Tiger] easily swatted a wasteland spider to death with one paw, and the kill count finally started to climb.
